In a poll conducted by the Morton Pony Express News, IShowSpeed was named the Influencer of 2025.
In a random survey of 153 Morton East students, 43 selected IShowSpeed as the best influencer of last year.
According to ChatGPT, IShowSpeed became YouTube Gaming’s most-watched streamer, with over 64 million hours watched across his live streams and YouTube. IShowSpeed is known for high energy, chaotic humor, and his unpredictable IRL streams. IShowSpeed mixes gaming, travel, and his engagement with fans worldwide.
“I agree. I feel like he goes around the world and meets fans. I feel like it describes students, them as feeling entertained and influenced by him,” said Francisco Gallegos, a senior.
Francisco supports and believes that his fellow Morton students selected the correct candidate.
“I believe it’s true because he goes on a lot of tours and talks to a lot of fans. He’s more energetic, and students look at his clip farming, and they are into his energy,” said Carlos Nowara, a TSI instructor.
Carlos likes that IShowSpeed is giving good energy to students, but some students think the other way.
“I say he’s not the best. I think he’s overrated. I think it boosts brain rot and kills their brain cells due to his personality,” said Juan Guisarro, a senior.
Juan thinks that IShowSpeed is a distraction to students due to his personality, also making it the personality of the students.
“IShowSpeed is not a good influencer because he does not do enough. Kai Cenat would have been more of an influencer to others,” said Julian Mendoza, a junior.
