Do you feel like you’re falling behind? End of the year can get a little “heavy”.
On April 7, 10 random Morton East students were asked a quick survey question: Do you feel behind in school?
In this survey, five students said yes, they do feel behind, and five students said they don’t. According to Google AI, students tend to fall more behind during or after winter break because long breaks can interrupt their daily routines.
“Catching up on old work, missing a lot of school and assignments, and senioritis make it hard to catch up. Seeing work pile up is stressful,” said senior Xiomara Gomez.
While students stress about schoolwork, some teachers offer solutions.
“Go to your teacher during extra help and ask what you can do. Check Teams to see what you are missing, and message your teacher,” said drawing teacher Ms. Jensen.

I agree because as a senior myself I struggle with keeping up with my assignments especially after spring break because everything is moving too fast since school is ending so your expected to do your work, get good grades, think about your future and college and also deal with personal things. It’s a lot of pressure for seniors and even some teachers aren’t willing to help.
