In a student poll conducted by the Pony Express News, ChatGPT was named best AI app of 2025.
In a random survey of 100 Morton East students, 63 said ChatGPT stood out as a better AI app since it’s easier to use and has more straightforward answers than other AI apps.
“It’s the easiest AI to use, so that’s why I use it,” said Daniel Becerra, a senior.
Apart from Daniel, we also have Xavier, who feels the same way.
“ChatGPT is good because I use AI a lot, especially for class,” said Xavier Lasose, a sophomore.
Another popular choice among students was Gemini, which placed second overall.
“People don’t want to do work nowadays, so AI helps with that,” said Andrea Soto, a junior.
However, a few students felt that another choice deserved more recognition, such as Google AI and Co-Pilot.
“I don’t really use AI; it’s too complicated for me,” said Teressa, a security guard.
Beyond the top two choices, students also voted for other favorites.
“Sora AI is the best AI tool because it’s easily accessible, you can ask it anything, and you can use it for any subject, from English to math,” said Freddy Macias, a senior.
