Senior Adolfo Medina Monroy doom scrolls instead of doing work.
As summer peaks around the corner, students have been having trouble keeping their work on track and keeping their grades up due to the excitement of summer.
In a survey of 10 students, 6 of them said they procrastinate on schoolwork.
“I tend to procrastinate on schoolwork because I’m focused on applying for jobs for the summer,” junior Jesus Vega said.
This just shows how students at Morton East are too worried and distracted by summer plans instead of school. So, counselor Ms. Maria Salgado gives a word of advice to those who have trouble keeping track of schoolwork.
“Keep track of assignments or events on a calendar to help with keeping your grades up to make sure you graduate this year,” said Ms. Salgado.
