Most students said they are ready to graduate.
Out of 10 senior students surveyed, 9 seniors said they feel ready to graduate high school. However, according to Google AI, a significant majority of students do not feel fully prepared for life after high school. Approximately 72% of recent graduates report feeling only moderately, slightly, or not at all prepared for their next steps.
“I’m ready to graduate because I don’t really like school, and it’s my last year. I’m ready to finish and start making more money,” said senior David Medina.
Teachers say that some students should be ready for life after high school.
“Yeah, I think some seniors should be ready for life after graduating, at least in my class, because we learn about how to work on vehicles,” said auto mechanics teacher Mr. Paul Martinez.
