Senior Adrian Gutierrez does not want to be at school and wants to go home.
In a recent survey, most Morton East High School students reported that they do not enjoy coming to school every day.
Our survey found that 70% of Morton East students don’t enjoy attending school daily. According to ChatGPT, however, 55–60% of students enjoy school, 30% feel neutral, and 10–15% do not enjoy it.
“My friends make school enjoyable and worth going for,” said senior Osvaldo Chaidez.
Adults believe that bringing the community together could improve the school’s culture.
“Put a host of activities in place to get the community involved,” said government and civics teacher Ms. Samantha Guthiem.
