The Class of 2026 won the contest for hallway decorating during homecoming.
Class of 2026 continues to turn simple moments into lasting traditions, moving confidently, aiming to leave a mark behind for those seniors who are graduating. The Class of 2026 meets on Thursdays in the library. The group has approximately 27 members. The purpose of the group is to bring members of the graduating class together, build strong class unity, and create joyful senior year experiences. Last year, the team club helped set up for prom and held a DO-RITE Donuts fundraiser. This year, they are working on decorations for the posada and helping with the senior sunrise. According to general research, one interesting fact about high school clubs like the Class of 2026 is that they are planning to do something before graduating. As the club continues to build tradition through service and celebration, its efforts reflect a shared commitment to creating a senior year that brings the Class of 2026 together.
“The Class of 2026 Senior Club is to bring members of the graduating class together, strengthen class unity, and create meaningful senior-year experiences. The club works to plan events, celebrate milestones, and ensure that every senior has a memorable final year of high school. The Class of 2026 has supported the students through each high school year as they anticipate graduation,” said social worker Sheila Salgado.
While the club’s goals guide its mission, the true impact of the Class of 2026 Senior Club is best reflected in the experiences of the students themselves. Students involved in the Class of 2026 discussed what the activity means to them. Among the many voices in the group, some students shared how the club has shaped their own sense of connection and belonging.
“Personally, I’ve enjoyed being in this club. It’s one of my more consistent clubs, and I like the community it builds. A lot of our members are really fun to hang out with,” said senior Paola Salgado.
Paola’s experience reflects the sense of community many students have found, a sentiment that aligns with the club’s larger mission of collaboration and class unity.
“Class of 2026 gives students the opportunity to create events or experiences for their class, such as in their junior year when three students went to represent, pick out the prom menu, and assist the Class of 2025 with their prom décor. The importance is in regard to unity and helping each of our peers from different grades,” said social worker Sheila Salgado.
