About half of students dressed in costume for Halloween 2025,

The majority of the Morton community, and families love celebrating the Spooktacular Halloween, the scariest month of the year where everyone goes out for scares and candy, and this year,  Morton wants to celebrate Halloween this year by dressing up in costumes, but just how many will?  In a random survey of 101 Morton East High School students, 43% said they were going to dress up for Halloween this year.

“Yes, I’m going to dress up for Halloween to match with my girlfriend,” said senior Brian Santoyo.

Halloween is a fun time for everyone, even for people going to work.

“Yes, I’m dressing up on Halloween for work and fun,” said Katie Gill Dean.

Halloween is a good day to enjoy moments with family and friends.

“I’m going to Halloween with my cousins, and I’m going to dress up with my friends,” said Junior Aden Santoyo.

This year many people want to match with someone.

Halloween is favored by students and many others because you get to dress up as whatever you want to be, and when you go to a school like ours, it can be freeing to dress however you’d like. Interestingly, Halloween is one of the most celebrated holidays in the U.S. Amusingly, this year, $4.3 billion worth of costumes were bought this year. Nationally, the most popular costumes this year were from K-pop Demon Hunters.

“I’m going to match with my nephew and my boyfriend for Halloween and match,” said Cassandra Marquez.

Trick-or-treating is one of the most enjoyable things about Halloween.

“I was planning to go to school dressed up with my friend, and after school go trick-or-treating,” said Sophomore Sebastian Gonzales.

Halloween isn’t just for children to celebrate; it can be fun at any age to dress up as your favorite character and get some candy with family and friends.
