Most students and staff prefer Dunkin’ Donuts over Starbucks.
In a random survey of 320 Morton East High School students, 265 chose Dunkin’ Donuts over Starbucks.
Senior Said Gomez, a Morton East High School student, was asked, “If you were to go to either Starbucks or Dunkin’ for their seasonal drinks, where would you go?”
Near Morton East High School, there are two Dunkin’ Donuts locations where students and staff can get their daily coffee. One is at 2147 S. Cicero Ave., and a closer one is near 5600 W. 16th St. However, the only Starbucks near the school is at 7124 W. Cermak Rd.
“The last time I went to Starbucks to try their Pumpkin Chai Latte, it had no flavor of any pumpkin: unlike Dunkin’! Dunkin’ has stronger flavors, especially their donuts. And, their drinks are more enjoyable,” said senior Said Gomez.
Of course, there are other things to consider.
“I honestly would go for Dunkin’ because it is closer to my house,” said Said Gomez.
According to The Daily Meal, the sizes at Dunkin’ are larger (and less expensive) than Starbucks. One reporter said, “The ‘Dunkalatte’ was so delicious that I hope it stays on the menu all year round. I got a small, but it was sized so generously that at first, I thought the barista had given me a medium. It’s great value for its price and flavor.
It seems Morton East agrees.
