Most students and staff prefer Dunkin’ Donuts over Starbucks.
In a random survey of 320 Morton East High School students, 265 chose Dunkin’ Donuts over Starbucks.
Senior Said Gomez, a Morton East High School student, was asked, “If you were to go to either Starbucks or Dunkin’ for their seasonal drinks, where would you go?”
Near Morton East High School, there are two Dunkin’ Donuts locations where students and staff can get their daily coffee. One is at 2147 S. Cicero Ave., and a closer one is near 5600 W. 16th St. However, the only Starbucks near the school is at 7124 W. Cermak Rd.
“The last time I went to Starbucks to try their Pumpkin Chai Latte, it had no flavor of any pumpkin: unlike Dunkin’! Dunkin’ has stronger flavors, especially their donuts. And, their drinks are more enjoyable,” said senior Said Gomez.
Of course, there are other things to consider.
“I honestly would go for Dunkin’ because it is closer to my house,” said Said Gomez.
According to The Daily Meal, the sizes at Dunkin’ are larger (and less expensive) than Starbucks. One reporter said, “The ‘Dunkalatte’ was so delicious that I hope it stays on the menu all year round. I got a small, but it was sized so generously that at first, I thought the barista had given me a medium. It’s great value for its price and flavor.
It seems Morton East agrees.

I really liked this article. It gets straight to the point and only tells us the necessary details that are needed. The quotes successfully support the survey of Morton choosing Dunkin over Starbucks by offering words of other students.

I think you guys did a great job explaining your guys evidence. But I feel like you guys could’ve gather more information on the starbucks side and also gotten peoples opinion on who likes starbucks

You guys did a great job with the evidence I liked how everything was explained. I also liked how you included the locations of Dunkin.
one area you might want to improve is that all the quotes are from the same person. It would have been better if it was different people.

One thing I really like about your article is the way you compared and contrast how Dunkin’s drinks have a stronger flavor than Starbucks’ drinks. I also like the way that you told us the location of the 2 nearest Dunkin’s next to school. I think your article could be stronger if you used quotes from more students instead of just one.

One thing I really liked about your article was how well explained it is. It also shows the comparison between Dunkin and Starbucks. One area you might want to improve is putting the prices of the drinks.

I really liked how you guys used numbers to show which one is more liked by the students.
One thing you guys can improve is the explanation
Another thing i liked is the picture the drink looks good.

One negative is that the prices from both companies should’ve been added in the article as well. Two positive things about this article are that they added people’s opinions from both companies and they explained this in good detail.

I personally also prefer Dunkin especially with their fall drinks that they have like for example the iced pumpkin chai latte.

I think your article could have been stronger if you included actual prices of the drinks at Starbucks and Dunkin for comparison. One thing I really liked about your article was the number of students you surveyed; 320 was a lot of students! I also thought you did a good job providing where the nearest Starbucks and Dunkin are located.
