The majority of students at Morton have not cheated in their relationships — but it’s not an overpowering majority.

According to Google AI, up to 60% of high school students admit to some form of cheating. In a random survey of 107 Morton East students, 47 students said they have cheated, and 65 students said no, they haven’t cheated.

“If I were to experience being cheated on, I’d feel very disappointed because it’s something you would never expect,” senior Andres Gonzalez said.

“I think no revenge is the best revenge because you’re not giving the person who did you wrong the satisfaction of your feelings. If you give them the attention they want, they’ve won you over,” senior Emma Torres said.

“Everything involving a guy, like talking to him, because it will make me feel sad,” senior Juan Monterro said.

There are some things people consider cheating, and others think there’s nothing wrong with it. According to the people’s quotes, they think being cheated on is one of the worst things to experience and something you wouldn’t expect from the person you love and trust.
