These courses attract many students because they offer hands on learning and practical skills.
The culinary class is especially popular with students who enjoy learning how to prepare different foods and work in a kitchen environment.
“I liked learning how to cook,” said Isabella Barron.
However, not every part of the class is a favorite.
Another student said, “I didn’t like cleaning up” said senior Winduri Camacho.
Some students also shared their thoughts about the classroom. One student said they liked being with other students and working together during class activities. Another student said they did not like the students in their class as much.
Auto and construction classes are also among the most popular electives based on enrollment. In auto class, students learn how cars work and practice basic repair skills. Construction students learn how to use tools and build projects, giving them experience in trades that can lead to future jobs.
