Senior student, Isaac Alanis, studies while listening to music with his ear buds.
Most Morton students prefer to study with music.
In a random short survey of 10 people, 9 out of 10 Morton East students prefer to study with music. According to National University, research shows that music can reduce stress, ease test anxiety, and improve performance in high-pressure situations like final exams.
“Pressure helps you focus more while listening to music when the test is near,” said Billy Ho, senior.
Staff members say that they agree that music helps with studying.
“Listening to music is the best way to study because it puts you in the zone,” said Martin Suarez, security staff member.
