In a random survey of 101 Morton East High School students, 54 said they prefer chocolate over Mexican candy on Halloween.
According to Google AI, a new survey showed 88% of Gen Z consumers buy chocolate for Halloween. While gummy and chewy candies are popular, surveys consistently show chocolate is still the most popular and purchased type of candy during the season. In a recent survey, it talks about how it can be good for you. The sugar and small amount of caffeine in chocolate can give you a quick boost of energy.
“I prefer chocolate candy like Snickers,” senior Alex Flores said.
While some students agree with Flores, others share a similar sweet tooth.
“Chocolate is better than Mexican or gummy candy for Halloween,” senior David Medina said.
Agreeing with Medina, sophomore Jose Cervantes also prefers chocolate over other sweets.
“For Halloween, I like to get more chocolate than any candy,” sophomore Jose Cervantes said.
Other students also agree that chocolate is the best treat to get on Halloween.
“I like to get Twix candy for Halloween more than Mexican candy,” senior Geo Avita said.
As students share their favorite treats, staff also remind them to enjoy sweets in moderation.
“Candy is not that bad if you eat around four candies—nothing more,” said school nurse Rosalba Hernandez.

I like how you provided information of percentages of what type of candy the gen z generation prefers, and had the students state what’s their favorite chocolate candy. I think you should have ask more staff members or other generations what type of candy they prefer and compare. And add caption below picture by putting full name of the student in picture.

You should put the caption of the name of the student shown in picture.

I like how you put the percentages of what type of candy the gen z generation prefers and is still popular, and have students name their favorite chocolate candy. I think you would have told more staff members or other generations what type of candy they prefer and compare what candies each of the generations prefer.

I like it, but I think they should have included the names of the other students who gave their opinions.
