Edgar Alonso plans on becoming an electrician after high school.
According to Chron's “Facts About Being An Electrician," electricians install electrical wiring and troubleshoot any electrical problems at home residences, public and private institutions and commercial businesses. There are over 650,000 electricians working in the United States. However, in a random survey of 10 Morton East students, only one atually knows an electrician.
"My dad is an electrician. He makes good money and likes the job," said senior Edgar Alonso.
