This Halloween, Morton East students chose to watch scary movies rather than trick-or-treat or party.
Out of 100, 45 watched a scary movie.
“I actually had a movie marathon and started off with The Black Phone because the new one is coming out,” said Ms. Ruiz. According to Google AI, haunted houses were very popular this year, but for Morton East students, they weren’t as popular.
Out of 100 Morton East students, 27 students said they went to haunted houses, while the other 73 did not. This means that the majority would rather go out during Halloween and explore to make their Halloween experience more interesting and scary.
Out of 100, 41 went trick-or-treating. “Yes, I trick-or-treat with my cousin’s kid,” said Ms. Nash.
“I took my little brother trick-or-treating and walked around my house,” said senior Michael Gutierrez.
Michael created memories with his little brother. Out of 100, 40 went to a party. “Yes, I did go to a party on Halloween. I dressed up as Plumer,” said Aron Soriano. On the other hand, Damian decided to chill and work.
“I was working in the annex from 4–8 and started playing Warzone on my PlayStation when I got home,” said security guard Damian Jimenez.
Damian didn’t celebrate Halloween, and the same goes for Julian, who had planned to dress up.
“I did not dress up because I was sick and stayed home instead, playing on my PlayStation,” said junior Julian Mendoza.
Julian Mendoza stayed home relaxing, which is the same thing that Christian Baylor ended up doing.
“I stayed at my house and played the game and got some chips from the gas station right after,” said sophomore Christian Baylor.
Out of 100, 38 dressed in costume.
“I dressed up as Winnie the Pooh,” said senior Aron Martinez.
Out of 100, 32 gave out candy at their house.
“I handed out candy, but I didn’t see as many kids as last year,” said Ms. Ortiz.

I liked this article because it shows all the different ways students spent Halloween. Some people went out, some stayed home, and some just chilled and played games. It was cool seeing how everyone did something different, but still had their own way of enjoying the night.

I Like the article and the colors of the photo. It just needs more pictures to show the Halloween spirit and the “spooky season ” or also you could’ve added if and why not does someone like spooky season or not.

I really like how the picture fits into the Halloween spirit, but it needs to have its background information Paragraph 2.
