Home for the holidays

Half of East will stay at home, survey says

How many students stay home for the holidays?

Nearly half of students at Morton East will be staying home this Christmas break, survey says.

In a random survey conducted of 100 random Morton East students, 46 of them are staying at home to spend Christmas.   Nineteen students will be leaving the state over Christmas.  Eleven students will be leaving the country, and only 26 students will leave Cicero to spend their Christmas.

According to a survey by Bankrate, after a very expensive year in 2023 almost half of Americans are going to stay home during the Holidays, a noteworthy 52% of Americans have decided to stay put and celebrate the holidays at home. Seems like most family’s want to be focusing less on lavish expenses and more on the cherished connections and moments shared within the comfort of home and being with there loved ones!.

According to Bankrate, Nearly 113 million Americans are expected to travel during the holiday season between now and the new year. In fact, over half (52%) are traveling more than last year and only 10% of respondents aren’t planning to travel at all this season.
