There is a new home for students who appreciate music: it is the music room on the second floor of Morton (room 201), where students can go and express their love for music by playing the music room’s instruments and learning how to use them, learning how to play their favorite songs, sharing their talents with other students, or making music together.
Approximately one-quarter of 11–19-year-olds know how to play an instrument — that’s 25% of teens in the world.
At Morton East High School, in a random survey of 100 students, 23 out of 77 students know how to play an instrument and the rest do not. This is why we encourage you to go to the music room to try playing an instrument and gain experience.
We asked Ayden Nolasco (senior) if he played an instrument. He said, “Yes, I play the drums. Although I’m still learning, I am trying to get better.” This shows how students are taking an interest in playing instruments and learning more about music.
We asked Joel Correa (senior) if he played an instrument. He said, “No, it never caught my eye to play music. I’d rather listen to music than learn how to play it.” This quote shows us how some students haven’t thought about learning music and that it’s not in their interest.
We asked Alejandro Rivera (senior) if he knew about the music room. He said, “My friends sometimes participate in that room, and they say it’s really fun.” Some people do participate, but they should encourage their friends to join in on the fun experience.

I like the picture and very clear information, but you need quotes from other student years, not just seniors.
