Francisco Salazar plans to make a lot of money through coding.
According to Coderz “11 cool facts about programming and coding YOU NEED TO KNOW,” in the future coding and tech literacy may be as necessary and as essential as reading and writing. The United States has a literacy rate of 99%. While coding might sound difficult it can be easier than writing for students who struggle with language basics, this can also help many adults who don’t know or never got the chance to learn how to read or write. So far coding has many benefits like helping strengthen the brain and making up to 200,000 dollars a year. In a random survey of ten Morton students, only one person knew how to code, this shows that not many students are introduced to the world of coding.
“There are many benefits of coding, like an example would be how someone on an IT job can make up to $70,000 to $300,000 a year,” Morton senior Francisco said.
