In a random survey of 100 Morton East students, 43% selected Lana Del Rey as the best 2023 female artist.
Lana became really famous throughout social media, thanks to her most-listened-to song, “Yes to Heaven,” which projects an angelic and soft vibe.
“I’m glad Lana was chosen as the best artist in 2023. She deserved the fame she got; she really projects girlhood and angelic vibes through her songs and lyrics, making other girls feel heard. So happy for her,” said senior Camila Madrigal.
Ending with the remaining places on the survey of the best 2023 female artist, we have Lana Del Rey in 1st place, Kali Uchis in 2nd place, and finally, Taylor Swift in 3rd place.

I enjoyed writing this story because it was fun to interview people and see what type of music they enjoy, who are they favorite artist and seeing who they think is the best.

I think Lana would be happy about being the best artist in east, even if they aren’t happy with not winning a Grammy.
