Jonas Brother Reunite

After a six-year break, the Jonas brothers officially reunited in February of 2019 and celebrated by releasing their single “Sucker.” Although it was only No.1 for one week, the reunion of the Jonas Brothers was an iconic moment of 2019, especially for those who grew up watching them on Disney Channel.

 

Thank You, Next album release- Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande released her highly anticipated album ‘Thank You, Next’ in 2019 which included many iconic songs such as 7 rings, Thank you, next and Break up with your girlfriend, I’m bored.  It was also the largest streaming week for a pop album  and any album by a woman with over 307 million on-demand audio streams.


 

Billie Eilish releases her album

17-year-old Billie Eilish  released her album ‘When we all fall asleep where do we go?’ in March of 2019 which included popular songs such as Bad Guy, When the Party’s Over and others.  The album had the 2nd biggest sales week in 2019, the largest sales week of Vinyl albums in 2019. Billie was also the youngest woman at No. 1 on Billboard since 2009 at just 17 years old.

 

Old Town Road Remix- Lil Nas X feat. Billy Rae Cyrus 

Lil Nas X added Billy Ray Cyrus to his remix of “Old Town Road,” the new version displaced the original at No. 1. It went on to dominate the chart for a record-breaking 19 weeks, the first song in history to do so. Old Town Road was categorized under “Country” music and had 143 million U.S streams according to Billboard.

 

Sunflower- Post Malone & Swae Lee

Famous singer Post Malone & Swae Lee released Sunflower,” a 2018 single from the soundtrack of “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” which was No. 1 on the chart for the third week of 2019. The music video for “Sunflower” currently has over 1 billion views.
