PlayStation beats Xbox at Morton East.
According to a survey at Morton East High School, 60% out of 100 students and teachers prefer PlayStation, while 40% prefer Xbox. PlayStation has a higher percentage of fans, likely due to the new PS5 and its appealing looks and quality.
Some facts about Xbox are that it’s powerful, allowing games to load very quickly. Meanwhile, the PS5 is praised for its incredibly fast SSD, inventive DualSense controller, and stunning 4K visuals. As a result, many Xbox players have switched to the PS5.
“Xbox is better because I used it my whole life,” said Geo Torres.
However, Antonio Haro, a senior at Morton East, disagrees.
“PlayStation is better because I prefer the looks and feel of the PlayStation controller in my hands,” said Haro.
Even some teachers at Morton East play these consoles.
“I grew up with PlayStation all my life, and I haven’t had much experience with Xbox exclusives. I think PlayStation has better exclusives and better hardware overall,” said Mr. Cervantes.
Another Morton East teacher shared their perspective as well.
“I have owned an Xbox 360 and PlayStation, and I think PlayStation historically has better games. I also think that Microsoft has been a net negative for Xbox,” said Mr. Elkins.
However, not everyone is entirely satisfied with PlayStation. “A con about PlayStation is that it’s too loud,” said Bryan Soils, a Morton East student.
