Plans after Graduation? Only half of seniors have them

Luis Landa, Survey students on plans after graduation

It’s time to plan for your future, seniors!  It seems only half of you know where you’re headed after high school graduation!

In a random survey of 10 students, only 5 had concrete plans after high school.  Students have many options when deciding what to do after finishing high school. After graduating, students can choose to attend college, join the workforce, enroll in a vocational or trade program, serve in the military, or take a gap year.According to a recent study, students who have a concrete plan for their future after high school are more likely to succeed in their chosen career path. Therefore, it is important for students to carefully consider their options and make informed decisions about their future.

“After graduation, I plan to attend community college and become a nurse,” said senior Jazmin Gonzalez.

This shows that this student has a clear plan for leaving high school.

“After I graduate, I plan on joining the military for four years,” said senior Eduardo Barron. This illustrates that seniors should have a plan upon leaving high school.

“I am still not sure what I will be doing when I leave high school, so I am just going to explore my options,” said senior Raul Hernandez.

This demonstrates that everyone leaving high school has a different path compared to others.

“When I graduate, I want to focus on college and starting my own business,” said senior Oskar Sevila.

As senior year comes to a close, many will be going their own path and exploring their own options. “By the time I finish high school, I will be traveling to find what is best for me,” said senior Valerie Hernandez. As the year comes to an end, a new beginning starts.
