SAFER SCHOOL ENTRY…Freshmen in Morton get their backpacks searched at arrival and go through metal detectors. District 201 has recently been increasing security throughout their schools by implementing bag and locker searches done at random while also bringing in dogs to sniff for illegal substances. Students at the Freshman Center have reported witnessing an increase in violence and safety issues in areas of the Cicero community. .
