Seniors, What’s the plan?

As time flashes by, Morton East students get closer to their graduation dates. Not only will all students make different life decisions, but they will all head down to create their own different paths and lifestyles.

“After attending 4 years at UIUC for general studies and graduating, I plan on looking for a job or an internship, haven’t thought about it too far,” Mateo Moreno, a Morton East senior said.

“I’m not too sure but, probably work and go to college is the plan,” Karina, Morton East senior said.

“I’ll be taking a trip back to Mexico this summer, academic wise I want to do my pre-work assets at Morton Community College, and after that que sea lo que Dios quiera,” Jazmine Medina Morton East senior said.

“I’m going to move out of state to Indiana, and then after I do that, I’ll be looking for a community college there. I plan to go into the business industry. BUT I HAVENT EVEN FILED FAFSA YET” Jennifer Torres, Morton East senior said.

“Go to college and go into the medicine field is one of my plans after graduating, and summer plans I want to have fun. and enjoy it while I can,” Mariana Cruz, a Morton East junior said.

“My plan after high school is to just work and save money, and eventually buy a car. I do want to go to college and get a nursing degree. And honestly travel more and do a lot of fun things this summer to celebrate graduating high school,” Isabella Bedolla, Morton East senior.

“I have money saved up, to move out with my girls into the suburbs and travel.” Jazmin Barrera, Morton East senior said.

“I’m going to college. I still don’t have a full plan but as of right now, what interests me is going into the business industry” Lizbeth Herrera, a Morton East sophomore said.

“Well after graduation, I’m going to start working, so a summer job, and during the fall I wont start going to school, Morton College, I’m thinking into going into the education field,” Jenny Vargas, a Morton East senior said.

“What I want to do after I graduate high school, is go to North Central or Morton College, and study for physical therapy,” Samantha Barrios, a Morton East junior said.

Overall, life after students graduate high school is just the beginning of a chapter full opportunities and experience. It’s up to you, on what kind of life you want to bring onto yourself, and remember everything is possible when you put your mind to it. Don’t compare career paths and lifestyles between you and a peer, its okay to have different lives and passions. Ask yourself, what are your plans after graduation high school?

SENIORS, remember to file your FAFSA or the alternative version of it as soon as possible! Remember it’s a graduation requirement.
