October 4, 2019
Have you vaped in the past week? If so, how often do you vape? More than half of students here may be vaping, survey says.
In a random survey of 100 Morton East students, 60 students reported that they have vaped in the past week, and the other 40% reported they have not vaped in the past week. E-cigs can cause health risks with or without nicotine. E-cigs caused respiratory illness nationwide. Some harmful ingredients that are in e-cigs are:
- Flavorants (like dactyl, a chemical that is linked to serious lung disease)
- Volatile (explosive) organic compounds
- Nickel, tin, and lead are heavy metals that are in e cigs.
