At Morton East high school, seniors have already started to apply to colleges and universities. Meanwhile, Different schools across Illinois, such as George Westinghouse College Prep and Phoenix Military Academy have had their seniors start their application processes as well. These schools require their seniors to apply to a certain amount of colleges or universities before a certain date in order to attend senior activities and even graduation. Here at Morton, no college application quotas are imposed on the students, however, Morton does offer free help and counseling and other important college application tools that students can use to their advantage on their applications. Even though no such quotas are needed at Morton, such as the ones at other high schools, students at Morton East High school are taking their education to a higher level and are applying and being accepted to Morton College, UIC, NIU and other colleges/universities in Illinois and across the nation.
