A couple old T-shirts, some braiding and knotting, and you’ve got a great pull toy for Fido.

Currently, members of SHARK club — Morton East’s animal rights organization — are donating shirts, and turning them into dog toys for Cicero Waggin’ Tails animal shelter.  Before winter break, the club held an animal food drive in which they raised 5 boxes full of animal food, toys, and blankets.  The club will be promoting the effects that animals have on the earth this Earth Day (April 22) with posters soon; watch for them.  SHARK has approximately 15 members and is run by Ms. Anthonsen.  In a recent survey taken at Morton East, 34 students (out of 100) were unaware that SHARK Club even existed; hopefully all this work will help promote them.
