The majority of the students at Morton East have pets at home.

In the holiday season, it might be a very dangerous day for some animals. According to an article by medvetforpets.com, “the curious nature of cats, plus a dog’s strong sense of smell, causes both animals to get into holiday decorations, food, and drinks that could lead them to wind up in a MedVet emergency room. ” Animals have a lot of curiosity which can be fun for them because they are discovering new things. But, at the same time, curiosity also leads them to chocolate and sweet stuff which can result in death or sickness.  According to the same article, the dangers for animals during the holidays are Christmas trees, alcohol, holiday guests, plants and flowers, toy batteries, anti-freeze and ice-melt, unbaked bread dough, Christmas sweaters and purses and bags.
