Morton East found the Super Bowl dull

In a survey of 100 Morton east students, we found that 65 students said that that the Super Bowl was boring; 35 said that it wasn’t boring.

The Super Bowl is always one of the biggest events in the United States for sports, but unfortunately this Super Bowl was very boring to most students. This last Super Bowl was the lowest scoring Super Bowl only being a combined score of 16 points. The New England Patriots scored 13 points while the LA Rams only scored 3 points. The former teams that held this record were the Miami Dolphins and Washington Redskins only having a combined score of 21 points. According toEspn.com Tom Brady has been the quarterback for all 6 Super Bowls that the Patriots have won. He is the first player with six Super Bowl rings. Also Espn.com states that the Patriots coach Bill Belichick joins George Halas and Curly Lambeau for the most NFL championships won by a head coach.

Many people were disappointed by the outcome of the game.

“I thought this game was disappointing. I was expecting a high scoring game. My family and me order a lot of food so we could eat during the game, but it was just boring,” Morton West student Jonathan Ortiz said.

There were many people who had the same experience. They were not happy about the outcome of the game.

“Me and my friends were really excited for the Super Bowl. We order a lot of food and were ready for a high scoring game. We had a mini party. We had pizzas, wings, a cake, and more food. But at the end of the game were just disappointed because we thought it was going to be a more energetic game,” Cicero resident Cristian Sanchez said.

Some people appreciated the defense. But, in the end, they were still disappointed.

“The defense was really good but since both teams are supposed to be two of the best offensive teams in the league right now, I thought it was going to be a high scoring game. I also lost a bet I made with my friend, so the game was a disappointment for me overall,” Morton East student Luis Bocanegra said.

Some people had a different opinion. They enjoyed the game and appreciated the defense of the team.

“As a former football coach I enjoyed the game because the defense was amazing and I know that the average football watcher would have thought the game was boring, but I did appreciate the defense so to me it was a really good game,” Morton East teacher Mr. Pyburn said.
