Top 10 costumes for East

About half of Morton East students will be dressing up for Halloween this year.
Based on a poll of Morton East students, here are this year’s top ten costumes:
- Chucky
- Harry Potter
- Skeleton
- Marvel’s SuperWoman,
- A wordless astronaut from “Among Us”
- Naruto’s Pain from the Akatsuki gang.
- Hoarded toilet paper
- Deku from Hero Academia
- Frontline worker Doctor
- Batman
“I like Halloween because it is one time of year I can dress up and have fun with my friends,” sophomore Caroline Orozco said.
Some will dress up and see friends — but remain masked.
“Halloween is the time where you can be more than yourself! The love of horror and a sense of spooky vibes. Most of all, (I like) spending time with my friends,” senior Rosa Orozco said.
Some students will be spending the holiday with family.
“It is a great time to be with family and connect with your community,” parent Alejandro Orozco said.

I like how the poll provided a variety of costumes to select from, which contributed towards better and unique results. Theses are interesting costumes I never thought many would consider and it’s surprising. However, the article can improve by adding a possible quote from someone discussing what costume they are going to wear.

I remember seeing a lot my old classmates dress up and stay at home with cool costumes through social media, despite the pandemic going on. I love how students still try to have some fun on this day, even though there might not be the same amount of candy.

(Judge) I like the variety of costumes and how they took quotes from students about how they feel about halloween.
