December 14, 2020
This holiday, the students of Morton will be binge-watching movies and shows during their Christmas break.
Daily Eastern News says that laying down is the new trend to be doing during this pandemic. Many students can stop being nervous about exams and turning in homework after-all students will be in a winter break that they shall deserve. Interestingly, many people will be binge-watching their favorite tv shows and movies, some of them will be watching their favorite Christmas movie during their break. Now it’s very easy to be watching different movies and tv shows from all the streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, Disney plus, and HBO max. According to Pennlive news, Nationwide, people in the United States have already been watching Christmas movies all year long, especially in December. The most viewed Christmas movie is “Elf” with Will Ferrell as Buddy the adult-sized elf, along with the action-packed “Die Hard”, “Home Alone” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” In a survey, 15 out of 25 students will be binging on shows this Christmas break.
“I’m going to be binging Brooklyn 99 because it brings me a lot of comforts and laughs and that’s exactly that I need right now,” senior Elijah Rodriguez.
“I am hoping to be able to binge on the following shows:
- Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
- I zombie
- Blood of Zeus
- Hunter x Hunter
- My Hero Academia
- Dr. Stone
- Afro Samurai
these are all shows/series that I have recently started or have been watching for a while now. I am hoping to continue them over break or finish them,” senior Rodrigo Reynaga said.
Some are considering binging watch tv shows but with caution.
“I think it is because from my experience I haven’t gone a break because I’m always doing homework or college application. And the only free time I have is when it’s the weekend or when I have time to eat. And you can enjoy watching Christmas movies or catch with your tv shows. But at the same time, it’s not because you from looking at the screen all day to looking at a screening again,” senior Michelle Velazquez said.
On behalf of the Morton Pony Express-News, have a happy holiday and break.
