Students at Morton East apparently traveled during this winter season.
In a random class survey, 23 students out of 29 Morton East students said they traveled out of state this season. During the survey, students reacted with laughs, smiles, and some sarcastic jokes, but this shows that some of the students had fun traveling or had fun here at their homes. Others, you could see the sad faces of those who couldn’t go.
Here’s what people had to say about the topic:
“I went to Mexico to visit some family. There are posadas in my city, and this year I didn’t want to miss it because my family was running the parties, plus ALL the good food, you know. The most exciting part about my trip was the parties, of course, and lighting up big fireworks with my cousins,” said a sophomore named Juan.
“No, I stayed home most of the time. The only times we went out were for family parties. I had some sleepovers with friends and played video games all night. I could’ve beaten everyone in any game if the controller wasn’t broken. I’d rather travel and go out somewhere else, but after this winter season, I realized I could still have fun here back home,” said a junior named Mark Ramirez.
“Yes, I went to Japan for a week. I have friends over there who invited me. It’s pretty fun, and it feels like a whole different experience being in Japan compared to the United States, probably because I could connect with most people, and I love anime. Japan is filled with anime characters and shows around the whole city. The most exciting part was seeing One Piece themes in stores, houses, and streets you walk daily. It’s awesome! Why wait for tomorrow for what could be done today?” said a senior named Keven Armas.
“No, I stayed home. Didn’t really want to go out of home or state, mostly because I’m chill here, and I could walk through Brookfield Zoo, walk, and see my relatives. I stayed home mostly because we didn’t have time, nor did we think about going anywhere,” said staff member Mr. Asay.
“No, we stayed home. We didn’t have time to go because of work. We could’ve gone to Philadelphia, but my brother came to visit me instead. It’s been 20 years since I’ve seen my brother, and this reunion was something special,” said my mom.
Whether you’re seeking adventure in the snow or simply a peaceful winter escape, traveling during the break offers the perfect opportunity to create unforgettable memories and embrace the season’s magic.”
