So, what’s cooking over the holiday? At Morton: Gingerbread houses, cookies, and steak.
We surveyed 100 Morton East students, asking what they would make over the holidays. 57 out of 100 students build gingerbread houses on Christmas.
“Building a gingerbread house is difficult because the frosting doesn’t stick together for the house to be stable, and it’s always falling,” senior Christian Rodriguez said.
58 out of 100 students bake Christmas cookies.
“Christmas cookies and happy hearts, this is how the holiday starts,” senior Julia Palacios said.
44 out of 100 students cook steak over the holidays.
“If you’ve got a good steak, you don’t need A1 sauce,” senior Christian Rodriguez said.
