Say Goodbye Morton
April 5, 2022
Approximately 845 students will be graduating from Morton East this May. (The number of graduates may be higher after night school session 3.)
So, what will they miss most? The Pony Express News sent a reporter out to the halls to see:
“I’m going to miss the fun activities. Activities keep me busy. I stay out of trouble,” senior William Serrano said.
“Nothing,” senior Sergio said.
“Friends and socializing,” senior Manny said.
“Not having to work,” senior Marco said.
”I’m going to miss the students because I grew up with them. I think I just got attachment issues,” senior Emely Melicio said.
“No because we have a better chance to become who we really want to,” senior Sonia Muros said.
“School lunch and my lunch table,” senior Kelvin said.
“Being able to see my friends on a daily basis,” senior Litzy Hernandez said.
“Being around people being able to make new friends. It’s a distraction,” senior Emeli Flores said.
“The people, not just the students. I met a lot of teachers who had a lot of impact in my life,” senior Alwyn Galvez said.

This article is interesting because it shows a different perspective on how students think, and their high school experience. Some will miss it and some won’t.

As a senior I agree with what everyone said but I especially agree with
Emely Melicio because you grow up with people for so long you get used to them being there with you and now graduating seeing what everyone achieved with you is great and will be missed.
