Jasmine Zarate-Merino had fun with her friends over the summer.
According to the Mayo Clinic, ‘Friends are one of the most important aspects of an adolescent’s growth.’ Teenagers need support as they grow up, which makes them want to share their interests and fears with people they trust. A survey conducted among 10 students asked if they have fun with their friends, and all of them agreed.
‘They understand me; they are the best part of my day,” senior Zarate-Merino said.
People whom teenagers trust are not always there just for fun; they can also help in other ways.
“We like helping each other with schoolwork, and we would video call almost every day!” senior Zarate-Merino said.
When it comes to making potential friends, there are many ways to do so!
“I had a class with friend B, and I would have small talk with friend A. I met friend B in the second semester of my sophomore year,” senior Jazmine Zarate-Merino said.
Teenagers can hang out to spend more time with the people they like the most, anywhere, and engage in various activities.
“We would hang out in a teacher’s classroom during school; friend A would always have the most snacks for us. We would also hang out at Friend B’s house to watch movies, or we would go to the park,” senior Jazmine said.
Teenagers have the most fun with the people they love being with.
‘The funniest friend was friend A; I would laugh a lot of times until my head started to hurt,” Jasmine said.
