Mustang Boys Rugby recently took silver at the D2 State Championships.
Morton Boys Rugby took second place at the Rugby Illinois D2 State Championship on June 2.
Morton Boys Rugby lost against Notre Dame de La Salette with a final score of 48 to 14.
“We were actually winning into the 2nd half, but ran out of gas against a very good Notre Dame de La Salette team,” said coach Mr. Aaron Sweeny.
David Castro and Dajohn Walker scored tries in the losing effort, and Angel Arreola was named Man of the Match. Congratulations go out to the rugby team for a good end to a great season.
