Senior Ruben Torres has been going to the field every weekend, training to get his batting ability to a higher level, so that he’ll be ready for their first game of the season on April 3.

The Mustangs will be visiting Proviso East for their first game; the last time these two teams met the Mustangs went home with a 12 to 6 win. Ruben will be playing in “a team full of talent” and “hopes to win their conference and relive the 1970-1971 Morton baseball team’s winning season.”

This is Ruben’s fourth and last year playing baseball at Morton, and he is aiming to end his high school career with a bang.
