Morton to purge the uniform policy
April 18, 2019
Morton East to get rid of uniforms the upcoming school year.
At the most recent board meeting, Principal Gamboa addressed the situation and proudly announced that the board and himself are making strides in removing the uniform policy altogether. After a survey of 100 students and teachers was given, 90 out of the 100 persons involved stated that they’d be happy to remove the uniform policy.
‘’After 10 years we finally believe that the uniform policy will be repealed” Principle Gamboa said.
This shows that after 10 years Morton East will remove the uniform policy.
“Yes, I want the uniform policy to be removed, I don’t like the current uniforms,” Senior Chelsy Ochoa said.
It seems that some students don’t like the current uniform policy, and would not mind be seeing the uniform policy removed.
“I’m glad to see it go, the ocean of maroon and khakis was beginning to make me sick,” teacher Kent Frankfother stated.
It seems that even teachers dislike the uniform policy. It even makes them sick.

I found it believable that the school was going to remove uniforms because theres a lot of people always complaining about the uniforms and how much they dislike them. However, I wouldn’t think of a teacher saying that because more than usual uniforms help students not be distracted over what they wear or don’t wear. I would have believed this story if someone told me Morton was removing uniforms especially if a lot of students are excited over the news.

I believe that there will be students that do not like the uniform policy, but what I question is that would the district be supportive of this objective. If someone would to share this I would not believe it.
