The majority of East students think you should spend at least $75 on that special someone.
In a random class of 30 students, 47% (14 students) said you should spend $75 to $100. and 20% (6 students) said they would DIY gifts and spend a maximum of $20.
“I would just give love because money is not important,” Morton student Luis Sanchez said.
Meanwhile, 33% (10 students) said you should spend over $100 on your loved one.
“I would spend every dime, every sweat, and every drop of blood on my significant other,” English teacher Mr. Logan Brown said.
Then, there are those who think financially rather than romantically.
“If you’re in high school, I think it’s better to stay single and save your money after or until you graduate,” Morton student Benjamin Batancourt said.
