What do teachers do when they smell marijuana in their classrooms?

If a teacher smells any substance in their classrooms (including marijuana), they are to report it to the deans via email or through text message.

According to Morton East Dean Philip Depa, teachers should notify an administrator or security. In that email/text, they should state where the smell is coming from/if they suspect whether or not a student is under the influence.

Dean Depa was quick to add “teachers should let the student(s) stay in the class until an administrator comes in to investigate as opposed to letting the student walk to the deans alone, as they can leave the building to avoid the consequences that follow. Proper punishment will soon follow if they are found to be high/in possession.”
