Half of houses are decorated this Halloween

This Halloween the majority of students didn’t bother to decorate, but it was a slight majority.

According to hiaonline.org, 42.9% of people plan to decorate their house for Halloween.

In a random survey of 50 Morton East students, 30 did not decorate their houses for Halloween this year. And, 23 Morton East students said they decorated their houses.

“Yes, people still decorated their houses for Halloween,” said literacy instructor Mr. Tony Asay said.

Yet, there seems to be a noticable difference from pre-COVID years.

“But, if you drive around the neighborhoods, you’ll actually notice fewer decorations up this year.  I guess we’ll have to wait for Christmas,” journalism teacher Mr. Kent Frankfother said.
