In a random survey, 20 out of 62 kids picked Olive Garden as the best restaurant to go to on Valentine’s Day.
Some of the other restaurants students picked were McDonald’s, which got 6 votes, and Raising Cane’s, which got 4 votes.
“Yum!! Unlimited breadsticks,” Morton East related instruction 2 teacher Ms. Basuel said.
Furthermore, a student who commented on Olive Garden said that it was all about the couple’s taste.
“It depends on the person; everyone has a different type of taste or place on an ideal date. Like for me, a restaurant isn’t necessary; we can just order food and stay at home. But if it came to a restaurant, I would say Olive Garden,” Morton East senior Dariana Mota-Figueroa said.
To add to the Italian theme of restaurants on Valentine’s Day, teachers have their favorites too.
“My favorite local restaurant for Valentine’s Day is whatever my wife decides, but she usually picks Freddy’s in Cicero,” Morton East literacy teacher Mr. Asay said.
