“On My Block” was the favorite show of last year. Unfortunately, it was cancelled after season four.

“On My Block” was the best show of 2023, a Morton East survey says.

In a random survey of 56 Morton East students, 28 selected on my block as their favorite series.

“On My Block” was reported as the most binged show in 2018.  It ran for four seasons before it was cancelled, but it remains popular.  The series follows four high schoolers on their journey to adulthood as they navigate the ups and downs of growing up in inner-city Los Angeles. It airs on Netflix.

”My favorite part of on my block was when Jamal was looking for the rollerworld and how he was on a big hunt to find the money; he was getting help from Ruby’s grandma and also from Chivo. My other favorite part is when Spooky gets his life together, starts a family and leaves the Santos to become a good dad,” senior Xiara Hernandez said.

“On My Block” got first but “Never Have I Ever” got a close second with 25 votes.  Coming in third place among students was “Stranger Things”.
