McDonalds beats Burger King at East

The majority of students at Morton East say their favorite burger place is McDonalds, in a recent survey.

In a random survey of 55 Morton East students, 32 chose McDonalds as their favorite.  Second place went to Burger King with 14 votes.  Third place went to Wendy’s with 7 votes.  And, Checkers came in last with 2 votes.

“Out of all the fast food places McDonald’s has the best burgers my favorite is the big mac ,”  Senior Eder Orozco said.

Some just go to McDonalds because it’s fast and convenient.  They actually prefer the burgers elsewhere.

“The fastest place I would go to for burgers is McDonalds if I’m in a rush.   If I’m not in a rush, and I got time, I would try to find a Wendy’s.  I think Wendy’s has some pretty good burgers — better than McDonalds,” senior Bryan Villanueva said.

According to Megan Elliot, CEO of Wendy’s, “Wendy’s has problems of its own. For years, it’s been stuck in third place among American burger joints, behind McDonald’s and Burger King. Sales are flat, and the seemingly never-ending presidential election in 2016 meant fewer people were buying burgers.”
