TikTok Voted Most Entertaining App Of 2020

During this ongoing pandemic when times may get lonely looking for entertainment in apps becomes apart of our daily attractions.

This app that recently blew up in late 2019 early 2020 is called TikTok that now has over six hundred and eighty million active users. On average many people have stated at the time that they’ll go on the app for what feels like 5 minutes that ends up to hours on end due to the high attraction that may be on their thirty to sixty-second videos that any person can post. Whether it is dancing videos, politics, talking about important life topics people, or even videos that are related to plenty of young adults to teens that have many people hooked. According to Oblero “TikTok was ranked as the most downloaded app in Apple iOS, and google play store in 2019 with over 33 million downloads,”. In a random survey , 71%  of Morton East Student’s most used app was TikTok during 2020.

“I do use TikTok, at first I didn’t want to download it because I felt that I was too old for it but when quarantine hit I downloaded it. It’s by far my favorite new app. I use it fairly often, probably every day before bed.,” Civics Teacher Sofia Sandoval said.

There is never an age limit when it comes to many apps especially the app TikTok with all the hype it has been receiving from many age groups from content like family-friendly advice, lip-syncing, even day-to-day vlogs, and even storytelling to gather peoples attention.

“I find it to be very relatable at times when I feeling a certain mood I can watch TikTok which will feel like around ten minutes and realize its been a whole hour later and find myself in shock with how long I have been on the app it can be very overwhelming since it feels like time flies way faster.,” Senior Nicole Villa said.

Others how over feel like although it may seem very enticing it just isn’t something they would want to get on.

“I’m not very interested in social media apps, I rarely even use my phone at times and occupy myself throughout the day and don’t feel the desire to go about my day using any social apps in general.,” Morton College Student Samantha Olivares said.
