The majority of students think they should be driving by their junior year.

According to a survey done at Morton East High School that kids should be starting at a young age. In a random poll of   Morton East student, 23 report that kids should start at the age of 16, 6 report it should be 17, 7 report it should be 18, and 1 report that it should be 20.

“Teens should be thought at a young age because at that age it’s when kids learn more from their mistake so the starting age should be 16.”Giselle Rodriguez said

Giselle Rodriguez doesn’t want kids to learn by driving alone.  She thinks kids should familiarize themselves with what’s what in a car, and what the different road signs mean, so by the time they are teens, they are allowed to drive.

“Teens should start driving at 17 or 18 because why would they want to start younger that’s when they start working and would need to know how to drive.” Stephanie Ruiz said

Teens should be driving young because that allows them to learn from their mistakes and do better oppose it being too late and people wouldn’t want to learn. Also kids start working around that age 16 or 17 it would be more convenient for them to start driving to work instead of the adult taking them.

“Teens can get distracted easily giving them control over a car is not a good idea I think the starting age should be 18.” Gerardo Rodriguez said

Most crashes that happen on the roads are from the age of 16-19, than any other age also with other age drivers they could get more distracted and can caused them to lose control over the car. They are more tempting to speeding not wearing seat belts and alcohol use.
