Victor Munoz & Nathan Claro

After three days of intense drills and crucial workouts, Morton High Schools have a new basketball team to represent us for  2019 season.

J.S Morton has finished their try-outs for the Basketball team and is currently focusing on practicing to make the team one unit and come together so they are in sync. In the past, Morton has won 3 regional championships in the mid-2000’s. Hopefully, they continue to strive and win another regional championship soon and make this school very proud for their success

Sophomore Aydan Moore in the JV team had said ” My favorite thing about basketball is that it allows me to build team connections and more friendships”

Most sports teams come so much closer to each other over time due to the fact that they see each other on a more regular basis and they are in one unit. This helps the teams’ chemistry get much better and have more communication.

Freshmen Dante  said “I play basketball because my teammates become my family and its all about bonding”

Most teams are more than just athletes, it’s like a second family to them. A team is a very sacred thing to many players not just because they’ve been together for a while but the number of memories they have made and shared with each other. They help each other out like a family would do so they can be better and do greater in life.

Freshmen Elesio said “I play basketball because i strive to do better”

We hope to see J.S Morton basketball team succeed in the season and bring home another trophy as our school has done in the past and keep representing District 201 with pride and joy.
