Child Development gets ready for preschool graduation
December 12, 2018
The Child Development class is already preparing for graduation for the end of the year.
This graduation takes place at Morton East high school supervision room. In May of 2019. To celebrate the kids that are going to kindergarten. This graduation is for kids from 3 to 5 years old. We prepare by looking for songs since they do a presentation for their families about songs. We also do all types of decorations like paper flowers and paintings of characters for the kids. I think the theme this year is Hawaii, just like last year.
“I remember last year before graduation I was painting characters so they could be hanged up in the walls in the supervision room since the graduation takes place there,” a senior girl said.
Just like we have a different place to graduate the preschoolers do too. We need a bigger place to enjoy what’s happening that day.
” Graduation could be stressful but in the end, you see that everything was worth it because you see the kids and their families happy,” a senior girl said.
Preparing for their graduation makes me think about our senior graduation it’s going to be in the same month, Graduation is to be happy you accomplish a level of education.
” We want to get ready for graduation this early so when the day comes we won’t be in a rush and have everything ready to go,” a junior girl said.

I can definitely relate to this article because I attended preschool at Morton East. I remember my preschool graduation as well. We all got to wear mini caps and gowns and we preformed songs and dances to our family. I remember feeling really excited because I got to dress up really nice and finally get to preform the songs that we had practiced for so long. I felt really grown up when they called my name and handed me my mini diploma. Its crazy to think that in a few months I will be graduating from Morton East for the second time.
