Eminem was the favorite music artist of the last year for Morton East Students.

In a random survey of 50 Morton East students/Cicero residents, 20 people said Eminem was their favorite artist of the year. Plus interesting background information from Google sources (Music in Minnesota), Eminem as a child, Eminem was bullied for being one of the only white kids in a predominantly black community he once spent one week in a coma after a fight when he was only nine years old. Another fact about Eminem is that he was offered the leading role in the 2013 sci-fi movie “Elysium,” Eminem turned it down after the producers refused to honor his request of shooting the movie in his home town of Detroit. In a random survey of 50 Morton East Students and Cicero Residents, their favorite music artist was Eminem.

Juice Wrld came in second place with 13 votes. One interesting fact about Juice Wrld is that in 2018, Juice Wrld performed a freestyle for over an hour on Tim Westwood TV, the video remains viral till this day. Another fact about the music artist is that in 2018, Juice Wrld signed a multimillion dollar with the labels Interscope Records and Grade A Productions. Another interesting fact about Juice Wrld is that his rap name was inspired by watching the movie “Juice’ starting the late rapper Tupac Shakur.
